• Website Design - every small business should have a website to promote its products or services. In addition to the credibility your business gains by having a web presence, a website is open 24/7. It provides potential customers with information about your company and products. It announces sales and special events to existing customers. It's a practical and inexpensive way to reach your target customers and even expand your market - because they come looking for you! And it's not as expensive as you might think. I can design an attractive, professional web site within your budget and host if for you, too. Hosting comes with e-mail addresses so you will have a credible business email address like "joe@mycompany.com" instead of "joe@yahoo.com".

Susan, what a difference great and well done site makes! Though small and just getting started, my foundation’s web site has created a larger than life persona. You have allowed me to gain the confidence, (and envy!) of other established organizations and also the respect of volunteers and contributors.

Thanks for your encouragement and enthusiasm!

  • Existing Site Re-design - advances in Internet speed, software and technology in the last couple of years have made it possible to do much more graphically than when your site was originally created. I have found that many small business owners, in the interest of economy in their start-up phase, designed their own sites using free software or templates and hosting services provided by their ISP. Now that your business has matured, it is time to consider a custom site that truly reflects your company's spirit and goals. (Sample - old) (Sample - updated).

  • Site maintenance - I offer a $50/month site maintenance plan which includes minor revisions, such as copy edits or swapping photos – basically any work that takes up to an hour a month to complete. I also check my clients’ sites daily to make sure their sites are up and running and not experiencing any weirdness. If this service plan is in excess of your needs or your site requires more than an hour of maintenance per month, I am also available to work on an as needed basis at the rate of $50 an hour, with a 1/2 hour minimum.

  • Proofreading - for broken links and content readability - having a potential client find spelling and grammar errors on your website does not make a good first impression. Broken links or missing pages undermine your credibility.

  • PDF brochures - convert your existing or create a new brochure for emailing or downloading from your website. Visit the Interactive PDF eBrochure page for more details.

  • Banner ads and Website Headers (Samples)

  • Online manuals - PDF. Make sure your employees and clients have access to the most current info.

  • Software interfaces and icons:

The brief for this splash screen was "Can we 'jazz up' the initial splash screen with something more than the logo; needs to be sexy, but not necessarily titillating; cool but collected; generating excitement, making one want to get to the concert but not to the extent that they find themselves in the mosh pit."
